It’s Go Time

December 3, 2009

Today is the day I’ve been anxiously awaiting for over a month. At 4:30 am my Mom, Stepfather, Pop and I left the house and headed to Newark International Airport. At 7:15 my first flight will leave. I’ll be making stops in Chicago and Seoul before arriving in Siem Reap tomorrow evening. Three flights. 22 hours in the air. Two 2 hour layovers. The promise of gluten free meals on my last flights. Ready, steady, go!

Update: I’m in Chicago. So far, all is well! xo.

Update 2: I’ve made it to Seoul. I managed to watch three movies on the flight over -My Sister’s Keeper (good despite being different from the book), Bandslam (teen angst anyone?) and The Ugly Truth (exactly what you’d expect)- and I took a few naps. Was surprised that the gluten-free meals included g-free bread and were delicious. Major points for Korean Air.
